How to Identify the Right Fence for You

Norfolk Prestige Fencing can install any kind of fence that you can envisage. In order to identify the best fence for your property, you’ll need to give consideration to what needs you have that you are expecting the fence to meet.

Here are a few factors that you might want to consider before choosing one of our hand built fences.

  • Privacy: A good fence marks a particular space as yours – as not to be trespassed on. This is as true for the farm and the factory as it is for the family home.
  • Neighbours: You might want an 8ft close board fence that seals off your garden but, if it casts a shadow over the neighbours’ patio for the best part of the afternoon, they are not going to be too happy about it! Stay on good terms with your neighbours by consulting them on fences that border their property.
  • Children: Keeping yours in and other peoples out can be a priority. You may wish to screen off a swimming pool or some other area where you don’t want children to be wandering unsupervised.
  • Security: A strong fence will be off-putting to would-be intruders.
  • Pets: Like children, you might want to restrict where your pets can go. However, some pets are excellent at jumping and digging.
  • Design: Your fence will be a highly visible part of the exterior of your property. Have a think about what would fit in with the style of the area. Need some inspiration? Take a look at our gallery.
