Christmas Decorations for Your Garden

Posted on 01/12/2017
Christmas Front Door
It’s December and we’ve already had snow in Norfolk, that means one thing – Christmas! So, while you bring down your baubles and lights from the loft this weekend, why not think about decorating the outside of your house too? Gone are the days when outdoor decorations meant gaudy light up reindeer and Santas on your roof, these days its all about elegant fairy lights and rustic charm. We’ve rounded up our favourite ideas to decorate your Prestige garden!

Front Door Charm

Welcome guests with more than a wreath on the door, decorate around the door too! Mini Christmas trees, lanterns and lights are inviting and charming. Stick to two or three colours for a classy colour palette and let the greenery do the talking!

Fairy Lights

Show off your beautiful fence, shed, pergola or decking with a string of fairy lights! Solar powered lights can be used all year round without looking like Christmas decorations per se, but draped in bushes, trees and around your front door they’ll give a lovely Christmassy twinkle without looking like Blackpool illuminations.

Rockin’ Robins!

Hang slices of orange, lemon and grapefruit, thread garlands of cranberries with fishing wire or ribbon and make seed balls for a pretty tree that will attract birds to your garden throughout the season. Dry out citrus fruits in the oven for a few hours to make them safe for birds, cranberries can be ‘served’ fresh – your house will smell incredible and you’re helping the local wildlife survive the winter!
