Our 2025 Year-End Update and Plans for 2026

As we edge towards the end of the year, it’s been a good chance for us to look back over the work we’ve carried out and the sort of enquiries that have been coming in. It’s been a steady but interesting year, with a few clear patterns starting to form in the type of fencing and gate projects people are asking for across Norfolk.

So here’s a short look at the parts of the year that really made an impression on us, along with what we think the new year will bring.

What We Noticed in 2025

One thing that really shifted this year was the demand for composite-clad metal gates and security-focussed installs. Schools, commercial premises, and housing developers have all been leaning more toward strong, low-maintenance options that look modern and don’t need much looking after.

That has probably been the biggest trend for us. A few years ago, we’d get the odd enquiry for composite gates; this year it felt like they were becoming the default for a lot of people. The same goes for general security fencing - we’ve had more of those jobs than usual, especially around school sites.

A Practical Upgrade Behind the Scenes

One thing we haven’t made a fuss about, but which had already made a big difference internally, is the addition of our HGV lorry. It’s allowed us to deliver far larger loads to developers and bigger commercial jobs without having to split deliveries or make multiple trips.

It might sound like a small thing, but when you’re trying to keep several installations moving at the same time, having the right vehicle suddenly matters a lot. It’s taken some pressure off the team and made scheduling much smoother.

Looking at the Work Itself

We’ve worked on a broad mix of projects this year - domestic fencing, school improvements, secure perimeter work, metal gate replacements, and the usual run of closeboard and garden boundary jobs. Every job has its own quirks, and we try to approach each one with the same mindset: keep the disruption down, keep the site tidy, and leave something behind that’s going to last.

What We’re Focusing On in 2026

We’re not planning any major changes to how we handle surveys, quotes, or booking. The process we use now works well, so that stays as it is.

What we are doing is looking to bring more experienced fencing subcontractors into the fold during 2026. As demand grows, it helps to have extra hands available - especially people who already understand the standard of work we aim for. It’s mainly about keeping turnaround times reasonable and being able to say yes to more projects without overstretching the teams.

So the emphasis next year is simple: strengthen our capacity and keep delivering the same standard of work people know us for.

A Note for Our Customers

To everyone who has chosen us this year - whether for a small repair or a larger school or commercial job - thank you. Your support keeps us doing what we do.

We also wanted to mention something that sits slightly outside fencing but means a lot to us. We’re proud to support the Circus Starr Charity, an organisation that works incredibly hard to bring inclusive, accessible performances to children who might not otherwise experience them. You’ll find their details here, and you can also learn more about the work they do online.

In 2026, we look forward to hearing from customers old and new and helping with any fencing or gate projects you have planned. If you’re thinking about a job for the spring, get in touch whenever you’re ready, and we’ll happily take a look.

Christmas & New Years Hours

We’ll be finishing up for the year on:

Friday 19th December 2025

After that, the tools go away for a bit and the team gets some time off. We’ll be back open on Monday 5th January 2026.

No surveys or installations will take place during the closure period, but you’re welcome to message us and we’ll pick it up when we return.

How to Reach Us Over Christmas

If you need to get in touch while we are closed, the best method is email:

norfolkprestigefencing@gmail.com

We’ll reply once we’ve back in the office in January. If you contact us during the break, we’ll get you booked into the diary as soon as we return.
